OUR VISION

Richard Allen Academy III visualizes a future of unlimited achievement and success for our students premised on a close partnership with our customer-families. This vision is grounded in the conviction that students want and need to seek truth and knowledge in a wholesome, supportive, and rigorous school setting.

OUR MISSION

Richard Allen Academy III will furnish an education that will empower all students to demonstrate academic proficiency, self-discipline and self-reliance, which will endow them with self-respect and respect for the worth and dignity of others as they embrace active citizenry. Richard Allen Academy III will empower all students to serve others, especially the disadvantaged, and to work to achieve their full potential as they venture into the best middle schools.

BELIEF

Our belief is that the way out of poverty is through education, life experiences, hard work and an attitude to accept nothing less than the best. Our students will become independent, self-confident, and self-reliant individuals through the hiring of staff that truly believe in the success of urban children. Staffing will be based on educational beliefs as well as one's own knowledge of poverty and the culture of the students they will be serving. All staff will disabuse the notion that urban children, regardless of intervention, remain a product of their environment. We will model, guide and refuse to accept or make excuses for failure. The staff and infrastructure of the school will be committed to helping families that they serve, not just by handouts, but by developing relationships that serve our students' best interests.

From the Principal

We have had an interesting year at our new campus.  The new building has been a great addition to the long, lifeline of wonderful accomplishments throughout our ten years in Hamilton.
Our basketball teams and cheerleaders made great strides their first year.  Karate has really helped our students learn self-discipline.  Also, our students have excelled in displaying the weekly character traits that their teachers have modeled.
In our final weeks of school we will enjoy our last awards assembly, a Spring Fling with our friendly neighbors, Kindergarten graduation, and a 6th grade recognition ceremony.  Be sure to check our calendar for updates as to what is going on!
If you haven't re-enrolled, be sure to do so now so that we can facilitate planning for next year.
