Daily Announcements

Richard Allen Schools believes that all children can learn and supports an academic environment that promotes educational excellence by providing a learning environment that allows each individual student to excel. Richard Allen Schools welcomes all students and supports racial, ethnic, and social-economic diversity.

Richard Allen Academy III visualizes a future of unlimited achievement and success for our students premised on a close partnership with our customer-families. This vision is grounded in the conviction that students want and need to seek truth and knowledge in a wholesome, supportive, and rigorous school setting.

Richard Allen Academy III will furnish an education that will empower all students to demonstrate academic proficiency, self-discipline and self-reliance, which will endow them with self-respect and respect for the worth and dignity of others as they embrace active citizenry. Richard Allen Academy III will empower all students to serve others, especially the disadvantaged, and to work to achieve their full potential as they venture into the best middle schools.

Our belief is that the way out of poverty is through education, life experiences, hard work and an attitude to accept nothing less than the best. Our students will become independent, self-confident, and self-reliant individuals through the hiring of staff that truly believe in the success of urban children. Staffing will be based on educational beliefs as well as one's own knowledge of poverty and the culture of the students they will be serving. All staff will disabuse the notion that urban children, regardless of intervention, remain a product of their environment. We will model, guide and refuse to accept or make excuses for failure. The staff and infrastructure of the school will be committed to helping families that they serve, not just by handouts, but by developing relationships that serve our students' best interests.

Parents are an integral part of their child's education. For this reason, we have included a Mission and Vision for our parents in addition to the mission, vision and belief for our school.

At Richard Allen Academy III, we believe that in order for the mission to be achieved, the characteristics of self-discipline, self-reliance, dignity and respect must be demonstrated and valued in the home as well as in the school setting. It is imperative that parents support and share our mission so that it is truly reflected in their students' every day lives.

At Richard Allen Academy III, we want our parents to visualize that success IS possible regardless of circumstances and status. We want them to embrace the unlimited potential of their students and join us as we seek to empower them in a rigorous and supportive school setting.

From the Principal

The child's first and most influential teacher is the parent!

Parents, we need you!  Your child's ideas about education and how significant it is begin with you. The 2013-14 school year is off to a great start! Let's work together to continue your child's successful education.

Research shows that when schools, families, and community groups work together, children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer, and enjoy school more.

Welcome to Richard Allen III. If you have any questions regarding the school, please click the Frequently Asked Questions tab above. If after review of the FAQ, you still have questions, please feel free to contact the school and we will be happy to assist you!
